My Citroën Drive Plus, which incorporates the TomTom Traffic and Danger Zones connected services for real-time information on traffic, the location of service stations, car parks, etc. as well as a visual and audible alert to warn of any hazard zones. My Citroën Play Plus, compatible with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto, displays your smartphone apps directly via the vehicle’s central screen.

Plug-in hybrid

New Citroën C5 X Plug-in Hybrid combines all the advantages of electric driving for day-to-day use thanks to its 81.2 kW motor and the range provided by its PureTech 180 Stop & Start petrol engine for longer journeys. This plug-in hybrid technology results in CO2 emissions starting from just 27g/km (WLTP combined cycle).

The ë-EAT8 automatic electric gearbox ensures remarkable fluidity and driving pleasure, with on-demand torque of 360 Nm.

New Citroën C5 X is equipped with the PureTech 130 Stop & Start engine, a high-performance, efficient petrol engine approved under the Euro 6.3 emission standard. It has CO2 emissions from 135g/km (WLTP).

Four driving modes: Electric, Hybrid, Comfort and Sport;
Consumption from 1.3 L/100 km for CO2 emissions from 27g/km (WLTP combined cycle) and optimised by daily charging;
Regenerative braking mode, which recovers energy for the battery during braking and deceleration.

QUICK AND PRACTICAL DAILY CHARGING

There are many solutions for recharging your New Citroën C5 X Plug-in Hybrid:

Wall Box: With the standard Mode 3 (Type 2) cable, it recharges from 0% to 100% in 3 hours 25 minutes or in 1 hour 40 minutes with the optional 7.4 kW on-board charger.
Standard domestic 3-pin socket: The battery charges to 100% in 7 hours 5 minutes. This charging method is not recommended for regular use and requires the purchase of an accessory charging cable.

100 kW charging points are not compatible with New Citroën C5 X Plug-in Hybrid.

In its plug-in hybrid or petrol versions, New Citroën C5 X is equipped with advanced technologies to make every journey comfortable, smooth and assured.

LONG-RANGE BLIND SPOT MONITORING The blind spot monitoring function is particularly useful on fast roads and motorways. An orange light in the angle of the wing mirror warns you of a vehicle in your blind spot up to 70 metres behind New C5 X. ACTIVE LANE DEPARTURE WARNING SYSTEM A camera recognises broken and unbroken lines. If the vehicle moves close to the line without the driver activating the indicators, the steering gradually steers to keep the vehicle in its lane. TOP 360° VISION This video assistance for all low-speed manoeuvring is activated automatically when reverse gear is engaged or else manually and displays a 360° view on the touchscreen of the top of New C5 X and its surroundings via four HD cameras. REAR TRAFFIC ALERT This device detects any hazards – pedestrian, motorcycle, bicycle or vehicle – nearby when manoeuvring in reverse. This alert is very useful in increasing safety, especially in urban areas. PROXIMITY KEYLESS ENTRY AND START This feature automatically locks and unlocks the doors of New C5 X when the driver approaches or moves away from the vehicle, providing the driver has the keys on their person. INTELLIGENT BEAM HEADLIGHTS This system controls the activation of main and dipped beam headlamps. Depending on the traffic, when vehicles are detected approaching from the front or overtaking, it provides optimal light for night driving. DRIVER ATTENTION ALERT This function assesses the driver’s level of attention by identifying changes in vehicle distance from road markings. It is particularly suited to fast roads at speeds above 40mph. EXTENDED SIGNS RECOGNITION When the camera detects a speed sign, the driver can accept the speed recommendation and use it as the speed for the cruise control or speed limiter. The system also detects Stop, One Way and No Overtaking signs. EXTENDED HEAD-UP DISPLAY New generation head-up display The Extended Head Up Display function projects all the key driving information onto the New Citroën C5 X windscreen in the driver’s field of vision, in full colour and large dimensions. It is no longer necessary for the driver to look away from the road to check information on speed and driving assistance systems, connected navigation or media and phone management.

This Extended Head Up Display innovation, which can be configured and modified via the steering wheel controls, enhances driving safety and peace of mind on board New Citroën C5 X. DRIVING ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS Highway driver assist The well-being felt on board New Citroën C5 X is hugely increased by driving assistance systems, which help to reduce the drivers mental load.

The Highway Driver Assist function allows the driver to partially delegate driving to the vehicle.
Simply select a target speed of 18mph or over and the system will record the position of the car in the lane and the driver no longer needs to manage speed or steering.
For the Highway Driver Assist function to remain active, the driver’s hands must be kept on the wheel.
The driver can take back control of driving at any time.
This driving assistance system is particularly useful for driving on dual-carriageways and motorways. In addition to the driving assistance technologies described on this page, New Citroën C5 X offers Active Safety Brake, Collision Risk Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go Function, Stability Control Coupling for when towing and more. New C5 X Plug-in Hybrid improves comfort even further, with - exclusive - Citroën Advanced Comfort® Active Suspension. This system combines Progressive Hydraulic Cushions® with active suspension control.
The vehicle adapts the suspension of each wheel to be softer or firmer depending on the conditions encountered.
Sensors analysing the road and its irregularities transmit information to a computer which continuously determines the correct configuration to ensure maximum comfort for all occupants.
As well as ESP sensors, the controlled suspension has vertical position and wheel-speed sensors to analyse vehicle body movements and driving rhythm.
Handling of the suspension provides both complete comfort when cruising straight sections of road and ensures precise handling on bends.
