ENGINES AND GEARBOXES

Puretech 130 s&s eat8 engine

Equipped with high-pressure direct injection and a new generation high-efficiency turbo (running at 240,000 rpm), the PureTech 130 turbocharged 3-cylinder S&S EAT8 engine combines the performance of the PureTech petrol engine with the efficiency of the EAT8 automatic gearbox to offer the most peaceful of driving experiences. It has the best low-speed torque/power compromise on the market: 95% of torque remains available between 1,500 and 3,500 rpm, optimising its use.

To offer maximum comfort and driving pleasure, Citroën C4 SpaceTourer is available with the EAT8 (Efficient Automatic Transmission 8) 8-speed automatic gearbox. The EAT8 gearbox optimises gear-change management and reduces fuel consumption and C02 emissions. The new EAT8 automatic gearbox reduces fuel consumption by up to 7% compared to the EAT6 thanks to the improved performance with the extension of the Stop & Start to 12 mph and the change to 8 speeds.
